Passing of the Peace God Loves You and There is Nothing You Can Do About It
Prayers of Confession (in unison from New Zealand Prayer Book)
One Dear God, Thank you for all that is good, for our creation and our humanity, for the stewardship you have given us of this planet earth, for the gifts of life and one another, for the love which is unbounded and eternal.
All O thou, most holy and beloved, my Companion, my Guide upon the way, my bright evening star.
OneWe repent of the wrongs we have done: Silence
We have wounded your love, O God heal us.
All We stumble in the darkness. Light of the world, transfigure us. We forget that we are your home. Spirit of God, dwell in us. Eternal Spirit, living God, in whom we live and more and have our being, all that we are, have been, and shall be is known to you to the very secret of our hearts and all that rises to trouble us. Living flame, burn into us, cleansing wind, blow through us, fountain of water well up within us, that we may love and pray in deed and in truth. Amen
Prayer (in unison) Dear God,
We come to give thanks for you Holy One. You who we call by many names, come to tell the truth of our oneness and the interconnectedness with all life forms everywhere. Please bless our small church that it may boldly walk with Jesus and Mary Magdalene in love. You the God of love, we come to pray and give thanks and praise and rejoice at the wonder of the all nature that is alive and sacred. Amen

Closing PrayerSt. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi Prayer
Make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred let me sow love; Where there is injury, pardon; Where there is doubt, faith; Where there is despair, hope; Where there is darkness, light; And where there is sadness, joy, And where there is sadness, joy, joy, joy. God grant that I may not so much seek; To be consoled as to console; To be understood, as to understand; To be loved as to love; For it is in giving that we receive, It is in pardoning that we pardoned. And it is in dying that we are born, to Eternal Life. Amen, Amen, Amen

Benediction Blessing Song by Miriam Therese Winters
May the blessings of God go before you. May her grace and peace abound. May her spirit live within you. May her love wrap you round. May her blessings remain with you always. May you walk on holy ground.
Communion is our pot luck dinner at the Mary Magdalene Café. We invite you to stay after the pot luck for dancing and a bonfire depending on how the spirit and wind blow.
Month long celebration of Mary Magdalene Meditation “It may not be God who has died but rather the image we have projected onto Him, an image that was formatted by different priesthoods according to their level of understanding at a specific historical time. It may be that ‘God” is longing for release from His imprisonment in the straight jacket of our beliefs. Or to use the gardening metaphor, “god” has become pot-bound, constricted by the anthropomorphic, gender biased, paternalistic image that was projected onto Him millennia ago. Like a conjurer demonstrating his skills, we have cut God in two and have utterly lost the sense of the divinity of nature. We have fixed the image of deity in the masculine gender, refusing until very recently to entertain the idea that the feminine aspect of spirit is essential to the completion and balance of the image of deity and to the balance of civilization…yet if the image of spirit does not change so that there is a divine marriage between the masculine and the feminine archetypes , it seems doubtful that human consciousness can evolve further , either because it is in thrall to an unbalanced or incomplete image of God or to a atheism which repudiates the whole idea of God.” The Dream of the CosmosAnne Baring age
God aka the Sacred as Lover
Chant O God hear my prayer, O God hear my pray when I call answer me. Repeat….come and listen to me. (repeat)
ScriptureThe Gospel of Philip“The companion of the Savior is Mary Magdalene. But Christ loved her more than all the disciples and used to kiss her often on her mouth. The rest of the disciples were offended by it and said to Him, ‘Why do you love her more than all of us?’ The Savior answered, ‘Why do I not love you as much as I love her?’ The savior answered, saying to them, “Why do I not love you like her? If a blind man and one who sees are together in darkness, they are the same. When light comes, the one who sees will see light. The blind man stays in darkness.”
Chant Alleluia (repeat) Kiss the Bride of Christ, Mary Magdalene (repeat)
ScriptureSong of Solomon 4:1-5"How beautiful you are, my darling, How beautiful you are! Your eyes are like dovesbehind your veil.Your hair is like a flock of goatsleaping down the slopes of Gilead. Your lips are like a scarlet thread, and your mouth is lovely. Your cheeks are like halves of a pomegranatebehind your veil.”
Chant: I know this rose will open. I know my fear will burn away. I know my soul will unfurl its wings. I know this rose will open. (Repeat)
Reading “…deeper than at-one-ment lies comm-union, love come full in the act of giving itself away. The nondualism of the Western metaphysical stream is a flowing unity—a “not one, not two, but both one and two,” in which the continuous exchange of twoness and oneness in the dance of self –giving love captures the very dynamism of the divine life itself. To discover myself as a divine being is certainty spiritual attainment, but to discover myself as the divine beloved is to discover something even more intimate and profound about the hidden treasure that God longs to make known……and for all our mistakes and false starts, our human love making when it approaches the mystical heights is still, according to this gospel, our closest human analogue to the experience of divine embrace itself.”
The Meaning of Mary Magdaleneby Cynthia Bourgeault

Scripture The Gospel of John, the Story of the Resurrection“Jesus then said to Mary Magdalene “Don’t hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to Abba God. Rather, go to the sisters and brothers and tell them ‘I’m ascending to my Abba and to your Abba, my God and your God”
Chanting Christ Sophia your light shines within us. Let not my doubts nor my darkness speak to me. Christ –Sophia your light shines within us, let my heart always welcome your love. (repeat)
ReadingThe Mystery of Deathby Ladislaus Boros“Love and death have a common root. The best love stories end in death, and this is no accident. Love is, of course, and remains the triumph over death, but that is not because it abolished death but because it is itself death. Only in death is the total surrender that is love’s possible, for only in death can we be exposed completely and without reserve. That is why lovers go so simply and unconcernedly to their death, for they are not entering a strange country; they are going into the inner chamber of love…When two people say “we” because love has made them we in reality, a new sphere of existence is created. The whole world takes on a new dimension, a new depth. This new sphere of existence is not simply, “already there”; it comes into existence as a function of the free self-giving of one person to another.”
Chant Make of our hands one hand, make of our hearts on heart, make of our vows one last vow even death wont part us now.
God aka the Sacred as Mother
ScriptureGospel of Thomas Login 22Jesus saw infants being suckled. He said to his disciples, "These infants being suckled are like those who enter the kingdom." They said to him, "Shall we then, as children, enter the kingdom?" Jesus said to them, "When you make the two one, and when you make the inside like the outside and the outside like the inside, and the above like the below, and when you make the male and the female one and the same, so that the male not be male nor the female; and when you fashion eyes in the place of an eye, and a hand in place of a hand, and a foot in place of a foot, and a likeness in place of a likeness; then will you enter the kingdom."
Chant U-bi ca-ri-tas et a-mor, u-bi car-itas, De-us i-bi es. Live in charity and steadfast love, live in charity; God will dwell with you. (Repeat)
ScriptureThe Gospel of Mary MagdaleneJesus said, "Be on your guard so that no one deceives you by saying, “look over here!’ or ‘Look over there!’ For the child of true humanity exists within you. Follow it! Those who search for it will find.”
Chant “Come and fill my heart with your peace, you the God of love are holy. Come and fill our hearts with your peace”
ScriptureThe Thunder, Perfect Mind“For I am the first and the last. I am the honored one and the scorned one. I am the whore and the holy one. I am the wife and the virgin.... I am the barren one, and many are her sons.... I am the silence that is incomprehensible....
I am the utterance of my name.”
Chant In God alone my soul can find rest and peace. In God my peace and joy. Only in God my soul can find its rest, find its rest and peace. (repeat)
God aka the Sacred as Beauty in Nature

Chant Hallelujah (repeat)
Scriptures Gospel of Matthew 13:31 “Jesus said,“God is like a mustard seed, which a farmer sowed in a field. It is the smallest of all seeds, but when it has grown, it is the biggest of scrub of all-- it becomes a tree, so the birds of the air come to perch in its branches.”
Chant In our God I’ll be ever thankful. In or God I will rejoice, look to God, do not be afraid, lift up your voices, or God is near, lift up your voice our God is near. (repeat)

Reading Gaia and Godby Rosemary Radford Reuther
“Thus the search for an ecological culture and society seems to demand three elements: 1 the rebuilding of primary and regional communities, in which people can understand and take responsibility for the ecosystem of which they are a part; 2 just relationships between humans that accept the right of all members of the community to an equitable share in the means of subsistence; and 3 an overcoming of the culture of competitive alienation and domination for compassion solidarity. Are there elements in Christian culture that are reclaimable for this task?” (p. 201)
Chanting All for one, one for all, the joy and divinity in everyone, to live for the common good a spirit of oneness. God’s great love shining strong, calling all creatures and the human soul, to live for the common good the spirit of oneness.
Reading “It is my belief that those who want to carry on this struggle in a sustained way must build strong base communities of celebration and resistance. By “base communities” I mean local face-to face groups with which one lives, works and prays. I do not mean that all these function would necessary came together for most people in one base community. Most people will find these different forms of support in a variety of groups recognizing their interconnections in one unified struggle. There are three interrelated aspects of the word of such local communities. One is shaping the personal therapies, spiritualties, and support liturgies by which we nurture and symbolize a new biophilic consciousness. Second, there is the utilization of local institutions over which we have some control, our homes, schools, churches, farms, and locally controlled businesses, as pilot projects of ecologic living. Third, there is a the building of organization networks that reach out, regionally, nationally and internationally , in the struggle to change the power structures that keep the present death system in place. We must start by recognizing that metanoia,(communion with the larger mind of God aka the Sacred) or change of consciousness, begins with us. This does not happen all at once, but is an ongoing process. We all have been shaped to misname evil, to seek invulnerable power, or else to capitulate to such power demands in the hands of male authorities.” Gaia and God(p. 269 ) Rosemary Radford Reuther
Chanting O God hear my prayer, O God hear my pray, when I call answer me. (Repeat) come and listen to me.
Reading “We are tied to the present systems of consumption and can hardly imagine alternatives to them that might give us greater peace and wholeness, even though the scramble to “keep up” in the present system leaves us ever more insecure, anxious and exhausted. We need healing therapies and spiritualties of inner growth to let go of fears and open up to each other and to he world round us, to learn to be, rather than to strive. The struggles to change the death systems must be deeply rooted in joy in the goodness of life. Making healing and inner growth available to us all means unhooking them from the professional “help” which comes with credentials and high price tags. Although there is a space for skilled people, most of what we need is fairly simple and “free.” (p 269) Rosemary Radford Reuther
The Garden Song by John Denver
Inchby inch, row by row, gonna make this garden grow
All it takes is a rake and a hoe and a piece of fertile ground
Inch by inch, row by row, someone bless these seeds I sow
Someone warm them from below, 'til the rain comes tumbling down
Invitations: Our current ecologic crisis is a call to awaken to the reverence of life and the truth that all nature is alive and sacred. As we witness the sixth extinction of life on earth, the only one created by us humans, we are invited to reclaim the ancient wisdom traditions. We are one organic, interspecies, interconnected whole. What we do affects everyone else. Every Sunday at 5 pm we acknowledge that we need one another more than ever before . and commune with the Great Spirit. We celebrate the wisdom traditions from the East, West, indigenous peoples, new science as we study the teachings of Jesus, Mary Magdalene and the Bible and the newly found gnostic gospels.
