Dear Friends,
Please bring your animals, four legged, two legged, winged, slithering to our annualAnimal BlessingSunday, October 7th, 5 pm. All humans are animals and will be blessed as well. We will provide flowers to make flower garlands for humans, dogs, and guinea pigs. Also bring photos of animals who have died to honor at our Dog Chapel and we will also honor the 150-200 species of animals that go extinct every 24 hour period.
St. Francis Day is a Catholic feast day that is often celebrated with a blessing of the animals.We know that St. Clare and St. Francis were very close and loved one another. St. Clare was with St. Francis when he died. I just have a feeling she would have loved to have spent more time with him OUTDOORS with the animals so we will invite both of their spirits in our prayers for all living creatures.

Day of the Dead Celebration Sunday October 28th 5 pm Come worship with Rosie Munoz and Alexes Hernandez from Mexico who will share the Mexican traditions of honoring the dead in Mexico on Day of the Dead. Please bring photos of loved ones for the altar and food they liked, enough to share with 8 people if possible. We will have a time of sharing of memories, food followed by a Mexican party and celebration at the Mary Magdalene Cafe.

Lectio Divina and Centering Prayer Contemplation of scriptures for Sunday and Centering Prayer, an ancient Christian contemplative prayer practice with a change of time beginning in September we will meet the 2 nd and 4th Sunday Call for more info.

World Parliament of Religion in Toronto Nov 1-7, 2018, our church will have a booth and offer a live stream worship and Dr. John B. Cobb Jr. will preach on "Jesus' Mission and Ours."
