Prayer  Dear God,  Goddess, You who we call by many names, You are in us and all over the place- in every living thing,  up and down, inside our bodies  and  in  the vastness of the galaxies-- we come  to say thank you. You who are creativity, energy and light,  are dancing in star dust and stars, plants and animals, oceans and  mountains, clouds and  sky, miraculous  life that  dances  invisibly in our cells and atoms; You who come to us in dreams  and visions, we long to commune and dance with you during this New Year. You are the net of intimacy  of all sacred living things. You God are the unity and source of all, beyond words yet as close as our breath.  You who are love, beauty and truth, we are in awe of your majesty. Thank you for the miraculous and sacred interconnectedness of  creation. Gratitude and awe fill our hearts simultaneously as you animate us in this present moment as we breath in and out.  We say thank you.  (Silence)
May this pray reach those who have cast you out of their hearts and are feeling lonely and alienation, (Silence)  We pray for those who are suffering from poverty as well as poverty of spirit, (Silence)  Those in war torn catastrophes in far way places like Yemen, and Syria as well as those places of terror for children and the vulnerable in domestic violence, and in gangs of our American cities.   (Silence)  We pray for  those who are sick,  those who suffer from addiction, mental illness and  for those who are mourning. (Silence)  We pray for those who are dying and being born. We pray for all those who have asked for our prayers, our clients and those in our church.  (Silence)  We pray for Mother Earth, for all creatures, plants, animals and minerals.   (Silence)

We come  to make confession for we are often self-centered and  ignorant of the harm we do. Please forgive us for those things we know we have done and for those things we do not know we have done. We long to be close to you, Gracious God and to become more loving to ourselves and all of creation. Please guide us in this time of global and ecological crisis that Our Common Home, a church and counseling center will be a source of service, inspiration, healing and love.  Amen, Shalom and Blessed Be

Prayers (We will go around the circle and you are invited to lift up prayers of those in need or say Pass.)

Unison Prayer  Mother/Father God who is within us, we celebrate your many names. Your wisdom come, your will be done, unfolding from the depths within us. Each day you give us all that we need. You remind us of our limits and we let go. You support us in our power and we act with courage. For you are the dwelling place within us, the empowerment around us, and the celebration among us, now and forever. Amen

Taize  (see insert)

Closing Prayer         St Francis of Assisi Prayer
Make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred let me sow love; Where there is injury, pardon; Where there is doubt, faith; Where there is despair, hope; Where there is darkness, light; And where there is sadness, joy, And where there is sadness, joy, joy, joy. God grant that I may not so much see; To be consoled as to console; To be understood, as to understand; To be loved as to love; For it is in giving that we receive, It is in pardoning that we pardoned. And it is in dying that we are born, to Eternal Life. Amen, Amen, Amen
