Our dear, dear Mother, daily provider, earth be your name. The time has come, to honor you, to know you and to show our love.” 1.You give us each day our daily grain, kissed by the sun and kissed by the rain. Teach us now to find a way to care for you in our work and play. Chorus 2.Within the beauty of your silent spin, we know you’re hurting and we feel your pain. With your forgiveness we can start anew. We need a chance to make it up to you. Chorus

Musical Response “Wedding Song” Paul Stookey
God is now to be among you at the calling of your hearts
Rest assured this troubadour is acting on God’s part.
The union of your spirits, here, has caused God to remain
For whenever two or more of you are gathered in God’s name
There is Love. There is Love.(repeat)
Prayersof Confession (in unison) Most merciful God, we confess that we have sinned against you in thought, word and deed, by what we have done, and by what we have left undone. We are living in a time of the 6thextinction of life on earth where 150-200 species of plant, insect, bird and mammal become extinct every 24 hours. We pray for them. (Silence)Our human family has not loved you and your creation with our whole hearts; we have not loved our human brothers and sister and our non-human and plant relatives as ourselves. We are truly sorry and humbly ask you to help us to face the truth of the severity of our circumstances and begin to work to save our common home, mother earth. (Silence)You who we call by many names, you who are the source of all, have mercy on us and give us courage. Help us to bring holy union to the divine masculine and divine feminine within us and in all our work and relationships. (Silence)Please guide our church and our work to save the earth. (Silence)Give us courage to face the truth when we are afraid. May we care for the least of these as Jesus taught us.(Silence)We give thanks and are in awe of your magnificent creation. Amen
Prayers for all those who labor and work to save the earth and care for the least of these. (Please share names or one sentence and we will pray for them and everyone with the same suffering or joy.)
Prayer(in unison)Our Mother Father God who is within uswe celebrate your many names. Your wisdom come.Your will be done, unfolding from the depths within us.Each day you give us all that we need. You remind us of our limitsand we let go. You support us in our power and we act with courage. For you are the dwelling place within usthe empowerment around usand the celebration among usnow and forever. Amen
ScriptureMark 7:24-37(NRSV) 24From there he set out and went away to the region of Tyre. He entered a house and did not want anyone to know he was there. Yet he could not escape notice, 25but a woman whose little daughter had an unclean spirit immediately heard about him, and she came and bowed down at his feet.26Now the woman was a Gentile, of Syrophoenician origin. She begged him to cast the demon out of her daughter. 27He said to her, “Let the children be fed first, for it is not fair to take the children’s food and throw it to the dogs.” 28But she answered him, “Sir, even the dogs under the table eat the children’s crumbs.” 29Then he said to her, “For saying that, you may go—the demon has left your daughter.” 30So she went home, found the child lying on the bed, and the demon gone.

Closing PrayerSt. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi Prayer
Make me an instrument of your peace. Where there is hatred let me sow love; Where there is injury, pardon; Where there is doubt, faith; Where there is despair, hope; Where there is darkness, light; And where there is sadness, joy, And where there is sadness, joy, joy, joy. God grant that I may not so much see; To be consoled as to console; To be understood, as to understand; To be loved as to love; For it is in giving that we receive, It is in pardoning that we pardoned. And it is in dying that we are born, to Eternal Life. Amen, Amen, Amen

Benediction Blessing Song by Miriam Therese Winters
May the blessings of God go before you. May her grace and peace abound. May her spirit live within you. May her love wrap you round. May her blessings remain with you always. May you walk on holy ground.
Announcements:We are witnessing the 6thextinction of life on earth -the only one created by humans. We gather to create community and to give thanks to God for all of creation as we build a new ‘ecologic civilization.’ Jesus taught a way to live in the truth and taught us that, “The truth will set you free.” (John 8:32) Every Sunday at 5 pm we acknowledge that we want and need freedom and one another more than ever before as we deepen our relationship with God. Following worship we invite everyone to the Mary Magdalene Cafe for a pot luck dinner at 6 pm, with vegetarian soup or main dish and drinks provided. Weather permitting we share star gazing and dancing. We follow in the early traditions of house churches, often led by women in the first few hundred years of early Christianity and also to explore and study the newly found gnostic gospels. Children and dogs are especially welcome at worship. (Dogs are not allowed at Torrey Pines State Park) 501C-3 nonprofit tax exempt status for church approved! Your gifts to church are tax deductible.
